Terms & conditions
Booking
terms.
How a Khich Selfie booking works, from the first enquiry to the final photograph.
Every celebration is planned with care, and these terms are part of that: they make sure your date, your designs and your day are looked after, and that everyone knows where they stand.
About these terms
These terms apply to every booking with Khich Selfie (“we”, “us”). “You” means the person who makes the booking. Your quote and booking form set out the details of your celebration; these terms set out how we work. If the two ever differ, your booking form takes priority.
- [email protected]
Booking your celebration
- Enquiry and quote. Tell us about your celebration through our booking enquiry. We’ll confirm availability and send a quote built around the booth, hours and personalisation you choose. A quote is not a booking, and your date isn’t held until it’s confirmed.
- Your details. To prepare your booking form we’ll ask for your full name, email address, contact number, event timings and the names to appear on your designs (for a wedding, the bride and groom).
- Confirmation. Your booking is confirmed once we’ve received your completed booking form and your deposit, and we’ve confirmed it to you in writing. From that point your date is reserved for you, and we turn away other enquiries for it.
Payment
- Deposit. A deposit secures your date. The amount is shown on your booking form, and it forms part of the total price, not an extra.
- Balance. Once your deposit is received we’ll invoice you for the remaining balance, which is due during the final week before your celebration.
- How to pay. Payment details are provided on your booking form and invoice.
- Unpaid balances. If the balance hasn’t been paid by the day of your celebration, we may be unable to provide the booking. We’ll always contact you first.
Designs and approvals
Your print template, welcome screen and any other personalised designs are created for your celebration and sent to you to approve before the day. Please check names, dates and spellings carefully: once you’ve approved a design, it’s what we’ll print. We’re always happy to make changes before approval.
Changes to your booking
- Details. Timings, designs and other details can be changed by letting us know in writing, as long as there’s time to prepare them before the day.
- A new date. If you need to move your celebration, we’ll gladly transfer your booking to another date, subject to availability.
- More time or more booths. Additional hours or booths can be added before the day, subject to availability, and we’ll confirm any change to the price in writing.
If you need to cancel
- Please let us know in writing, by email, as soon as you can.
- With at least seven days’ notice, we’ll gladly work with you to move your booking to another date instead, with your deposit carried across to the new date.
- The deposit is non-refundable, because it reserves a date we keep for you and decline other bookings for.
- With less than seven days’ notice, the full balance remains payable, as the date can no longer be offered to anyone else.
Because our service is booked for a specific date, the 14-day cancellation period that applies to some purchases made online or at a distance does not apply to bookings. This doesn’t affect your other legal rights.
If we need to cancel
It is very rare, but if something outside our control (such as serious illness, an accident, severe weather or a vehicle breakdown) prevented us from attending, we would first do everything we can to provide a suitable replacement booth or team. If we couldn’t, we would refund everything you’ve paid us in full.
Your venue
So we can set up properly and safely, please make sure that:
- your venue has agreed to a photo booth, and knows our setup and pack-down times;
- there is enough floor space and ceiling height for your booth (see the space and setup guide), on a flat, dry, indoor or covered surface;
- there is one standard UK plug socket (13 amp, 230 V) close to where each booth will stand;
- we have access to the room in time to set up before your guests arrive, with somewhere nearby to unload.
If your venue asks for our public liability insurance or PAT testing certificates, we’ll send them ahead of the day.
On the day
- Your booth is attended by our team throughout, from setup to pack-down.
- Your booking runs for the hours agreed on your booking form, from the agreed start time. If the start is delayed by the venue or the schedule, we’ll do our best to adjust, but the finish time may not be able to move.
- We may pause the booth if equipment is being misused or anyone’s safety is at risk. Any damage to our equipment caused by guests, beyond normal use, may be charged at the cost of repair or replacement.
Photographs and videos
The complete gallery from your celebration is delivered to you after the event through our online gallery. It stays available to download for three months from delivery. After three months the gallery and every copy of it is permanently deleted, and we can’t recover or resend it, so please download everything you’d like to keep within that time.
We only share photographs or videos from your celebration on our website, in our lookbook or on social media with your permission. How we look after photographs and personal details is explained in our privacy policy.
Insurance and liability
- We hold public liability insurance, and our equipment is PAT tested.
- We take great care with every celebration. If we are responsible for a problem, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid for your booking.
- We aren’t responsible for losses that couldn’t reasonably have been foreseen, or for problems caused by the venue, its power supply or circumstances outside our control.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
If something isn’t right
If anything about your booking isn’t as it should be, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally on the day and no later than 7 days after your celebration, at [email protected]. We’ll look into it personally and come back to you.
The legal part
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales. We may update these terms from time to time; your booking is covered by the version in place when it was confirmed.
